BILL LEECH

I grew up in a small town in rural Kansas, where the big skies open up and there is a wonderful sense of space around you. At a young age I loved to draw After high school I attended the Kansas City Art Institute where after the first year of Foundation I chose Painting as my major. I also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Over the years my work has evolved from figurative into abstraction. Painting is still my main focus. In the late 1990’s I was computer age. I soon took up Photoshop. Later I took a course in Adobe Illustrator at the New School and got a good solid kick start into that program. I love working with Illustrator because for and artist it is like starting out at the beginning of the artmaking process working with simple shapes and forms.
