ELLIOTT DE CESARE

My work is about the transformation of a literal world into a parallel world of myth, metaphor, and finding alternate meaning in everydayness. I'm inspired by anthropological fieldwork, totemism, iconology, and concepts of bricolage as a means to assemble information into imagery, ideas and situations. I explore these concepts through the use of drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, collage and any other necessary mediums.

Elliott De Cesare is a multimedia artist born in New York in 1989. He spent two years of study at The New School before transfering to The School of Visual Arts where he received his BFA.
